The 20-year-old pop star was accused of attempted robbery in Los Angeles on Monday night at around 10:30 p.m. (L.A. time), the Los Angeles Police Department confirms to Yahoo.
No further details are available at this time, but the LAPD is currently investigating the situation and is interviewing the victim.
The incident reportedly involved an altercation with a woman over a personal cell phone camera at a miniature golf complex in the San Fernando Valley.
According to TMZ, the woman says Justin demanded her phone after he spotted her taking photos with her iPhone.
When she refused to hand him the phone so he could delete the snaps, he went into her purse to grab it, TMZ alleges.
When the woman - who was with her 13-year-old daughter - told Justin they just wanted to say hello, he allegedly screamed, "You're humiliating yourself in front of your daughter.

Bieber has not been arrested and is not under police custody, but that could change.
Tuesday night, he was spotted in Oklahoma City attending an NBA playoff game between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Thunder.
Bieber was arrested back in January in Miami Beach, for suspicion of driving under the influence, resisting arrest without violence, and driving with an expired driver's license.
He currently still faces vandalism charges stemming from an egg-throwing incident in Calabasas, California, which also occurred in January.
