MCYS officers pick up ideas from overseas juvenile homes

A GROUP of juvenile-service officers have toured the United States, Canada and England to pick up ideas on designing facilities and programmes, to lead wayward youths back to the straight and narrow.
The Straits Times understands that four officers from the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) made the trip with architects, who will draw up a masterplan to expand the Singapore Boys' Home and Singapore Boys' Hostel.

Why are we sending them to a place which has a horrendous record of juvenile crime to study. They should be studying us!!!!!
