Being fat is not always so bad; it might even save your life.

A 33-year-old man surnamed Yang from Hubei province, who weighs 90 kg, accidentally fell out of a 17-story window.

During his fall, he hit two air conditioning units and got stuck on a shelf holding the units on the sixth floor. Yang ended up with many fractures but no internal organ wounds.

Doctors said Yang survived because his fat worked as "bumper pads" during the fall.
