Police have detained a Hindu man along with several others for questioning in Rajapur of Rupsha in Khulna after local Muslims reported a Facebook post that defamed Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Some locals, however, said that accused Narayan Saha studied up to class three and is a hardware businessman. He does not know how to run Facebook.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sardar Mosharraf Hossain of Rupsha police station said: “An investigation is underway to uncover the real incident and identify the accused.

“Several people including Narayan Saha have been brought to the police station for questioning.”

The local Muslims started demonstrating after offering Johr prayers at Rajapur mosque on Saturday, and demanded immediate arrest of Narayan Saha.

Crowds also gathered in front of his house in Rajapur, demanding his exemplary punishment….

Muslims will pray and seek their allah for guidance and strength before violent jihad. It is well known terrorism starts in the mosque where mass prayer to allah takes place. Unpious muslims who skip prayer are more peacefu innerly.

Many elderly sinkies told me the same thing. Back in the 1960s, during the racial and communal riots, many sinkies were worried that after the friday afternoon prayers, moslems would emerge from their mosques to start another riot. Things only took a turn for the better after PAP took control of all the mosques and got MUIS to get them in line.
