Why back seats in bus were hot

WE THANK Mr Lim Kim Kok for his letter ("Hot issue on bus"; Nov 6).
The warm air felt by Mr Lim from two seats in the last row was from the bus engine bay, as a small area of insulation foam at the right rear corner had worn out; it was not exhaust gas. We have replaced the insulation foam and we hope Mr and Mrs Lim's next journey with us will be a pleasant one.
