Instead of "8. Every bicycle shall be ridden close to the left hand edge of the roadway and in such a manner as not to obstruct vehicles moving at a faster speed."

Should be written as "8. Every slower moving vehicle shall be ridden close to the left hand edge of the roadway as safely possible to facilitate the safe and efficacious journeys of ALL road users"

The focus should be on safe road usage, not clearing out the road for use by drivers who think the roads are an F1 race track. Frequently, some parts of the left side of the road are bumpy, damaged or strewn with dust and debris, obstacles/ pedestrians jutting onto the road etc that makes keeping too far left very hazardous at 30-40kph. To make road use safe for all road users, LTA should submit to parliament the need to urgently review the wording of this law to better convey the need for safety consciousness by all road users in Singapore.

To encourage more harmony between PMD users and pedestrians on the foot path, the same keep left rules and hand signals systems need to apply so that unless signalled/communicated, pedestrians and slower PMDs would keep left so that traffic flow on the footpath can likewise be aafer, more smooth and more organized.
