Chan Ka-chun had earlier pleaded guilty to two counts of indecent assault.
A serial offender showed a complete indifference to the law, a judge said as he jailed the man for indecently assaulting a 16-year-old girl on Friday.
The District Court heard how Chan Ka-chun, 38, had threatened his victim in front of police officers, saying: "If she makes any more noise I'll rape her."
Judge Johnny Chan Jong-herng said the defendant, who had 38 previous convictions, "showed no respect for the law". He was jailed for three years and four months.
When defence counsel Norman Lee Chi-wai pleaded for leniency by claiming the victim was more familiar with the adult world than other 16-year-olds, the judge rejected the suggestion as a further demonstration of the defendant's indifference.
Chan Ka-chun had earlier pleaded guilty to two counts of indecent assault, two counts of criminal intimidation, one count of illegal detention and one of possessing apparatus for illegal drug use.
He admitted luring the victim, referred to as "X", to his Sham Shui Po flat in July by telling her that he could recommend a job to her.
Once inside, the defendant stripped naked and forced X, who was wearing her school uniform, to watch a pornographic film. He touched her breasts and offered the victim HK$500 for oral sex, the court heard.
A security guard alerted police after a row ensued when the girl left the flat and Chan Ka-chun snatched her mobile telephone, throwing it back inside his home.
After the victim went to retrieve it, the defendant prevented her from leaving, the court heard, by blocking the door.
The judge said that not only had the defendant "put X in great fear, he also tried to corrupt X by offering her HK$500".
In court yesterday, it was revealed that the defendant's history of drug abuse had caused him to suffer psychiatric problems since 1995.
A medical report listed various psychological complications, including poor anger management and a preoccupation with sex.
