Finally, the PAP regime has bowed down to SMRT foreign workers’ strike and decided to give Singaporean bus drivers their long overdue raise. All credits should be given to the foreign bus drivers and their Singaporean colleagues who are supporting them. None should be given to the utterly undeserving Vichy WP.
For many, many, many years, Singaporean bus drivers are one of the most underpaid and most overworked in the world.
Yet, for over 20 years of presence in the parliament, Vichy WP, the self-anointed “First World Opposition” has totally failed to address Singaporean bus drivers’ grievances both inside and outside their “First World Parliament”. The misnomered “Workers” Party is anything but about workers, with all its MPs being towkays, professional elites, academics jobless and none of whom ever being workers themselves.
Instead, the self-styled “Co-Drivers” advocate a “less stringent foreign manpower policies to keep costs low” for the bus companies and thus participate as active accomplices to suppress Singaporean bus drivers’ wages.

Vichy WP has also stubbornly refused to support and speak up for the Singaporean bus drivers during their labour dispute with SMRT just a few months ago.
The foreign bus drivers who have fearlessly gone on strike to highlight theirs as well as Singaporean bus drivers’ grievances truly deserve to be First World Opposition and 魏征, and not those Vichy WP eunuchs. Instead of supporting workers’ rights, these wussy eunuchs are busy rehearsing for their upcoming Wayang to be staged at the premier luxury “First World” Raffles Hotel in tribute to all the towkays and tai-tais whom they have spent so much time sucking up to in parliament, while ignoring Singaporean bus drivers’ grievances.
