CCTV footage shows the family of three, a father and mother with their son, outside a bar in the province of Hua Hin, News Corp reported.
The family were reportedly celebrating the Thai New Year before they were engaged in an argument with a group of local men.
As tensions between the family and thugs escalate the Britons are punched and kicked several times to the head, knocking out all three.
While lying helpless on the ground, the parents, believed to be in their 60s, and their son are kicked and stomped on by the gang.
News Corp said British media reported one eyewitness later claimed online*that the gang had targeted the family because they were Western tourists.
Thai police released the CCTV footage and have since arrested two of the attackers while two more are still at large, News Corp reported.
