SINGAPORE: Officers from the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) arrested a suspected drug trafficker near Beach Road.
They have been keeping an eye on the 32-year-old Singaporean for more than two months.
He was known to be distributing multiple types of drug in the Geylang and Beach Road areas.
He was arrested on Thursday, shortly after he was seen meeting another man at the basement of a serviced apartment building along Beach Road.
The man he met, a 29-year-old Malaysian man believed to be a drug courier, was also arrested.
The suspected Singaporean drug trafficker had two paper bags with him containing 200 Ecstasy tablets and about 25 grams of 'ice'.
More drugs were recovered when his rented serviced apartment was raided.
Some 165 grams of 'Ice' and 100 'Yaba' tablets were recovered in the room among other drugs such as ketamine, Ecstasy and Erimin-5.
The total street value of the drugs seized was about S$76,000.
Two female China nationals found in the apartment were also arrested.
Both men will be investigated for drug trafficking.
If convicted, they face up to 20 years imprisonment and 15 strokes of the cane.
