According to constitutional lawyers, if Anwar indeed had the majority of Members of Parliament supporting him, as he has claimed many times since the March 8 general election, there are several possible constitutional scenarios.
If Anwar can prove he has the majority supporting him, he could table a motion of no confidence in the Prime Minister in Parliament when it convenes.
If the BN loses the vote, then the Prime Minister and his Government will have to inform the Yang di Pertuan Agong that the BN no longer commands the majority.
The opposition did try to table a NO CONFIDENCE MOTION but it was turn down.

Its one thing to give realistic hope, while offering up some red meat, and another to induce false hope and toss up red meat too many times.
To be honest, I was always suspicious of the September 16th date as its gonna do with politics, and not others. In politics, its seldom hard to see things move in a quick pace, let alone a cheetah pace. Its often a hard slog, like a marathon.
So, to be honest, it's wiser to be prudent and set realistic goals. When you set too high an expectation for people when it comes to politics, its often more than not that you disappoint people.

Anwar is playing the mind's games with Badawi.
He is hoping that the PM already feeling the pressure from all corners will crack and give in.
But the longer it draps on,the longer it favours Anwar.
But with Mahathir back in UMNO,it will definitely stablilise the situation and Anwar will not be able to do it unless Badawi does something crazy like arrested those oppositions thru ISA again.

Only Mahatir can steer the economy into the black!
Yes, nobody perfect. But dont forget this is the very Man who go against the odds...implement the unpopular policy of fixing Ringgit to USD thus avoiding borrowing fm IMF during the currency crisis. This is the very man who took another "unpopular" policy of increasing the interest rates when his DPM, Anwar (pro-USA), suggested the reverse.
When Mahatir blamed Soros for speculating on the Ringgit, the former was criticise...especially by Uncle Sam. Now uncle Sam imposing bans on short-sellers, blamed for aggravating the global meltdown. I bet if Msia or Spore were to ban short-selling, they sure kenna criticise by US too. Its good now US taste its own medicine!
These are juz two simple but yet imperative policies, which subjected to some negative opinion/criticism fm USA. But end of the day, and till now, we know whos right and whos wrong.
Look at US state of economy now?? Now they are cleaning the shits they had poo all over "us". Yes, us! Now other central banks have to chip in with billion of dollars to rescue pathetic US!

Quite good insight Bro. Yes got to hand it to Mahathir, say what you want about his autocratic manner but he sure fooled everyone by steering Malaysia out of the asian currency crisis. Not bad for a medical practitioner with no economics training.
