Temasek investment in American retailer Brookstone has been hit hard! Osim, Temasek Holdings & US equity firm J W Childs Associates had acquired Brookstone for US$456 million (S$698 million). Brookstone ended the year with a cash balance of US$23 million and is relying on a revolving credit facility. Brookstone may also 'condense' & rationalise some stores over time.

Another investment failure just like ABC learning.

No wonder, the govt has to dig into reserves, and Ho Ching has to step down. Otherwise all our money will be gone.
