A man was found dead in his car at a multi-storey carpark in Ang Mo Kio yesterday.

The 37 year old was found in the driver’s seat and the windows wound down.

The car was parked on the second floor of carpark 5 at Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 2A.

Police confirmed that they received a call at about 6:20am and paramedics who were on scene pronounced the man dead.

The man who reported the incident worked in the coffee shop across the road and he had passed by the car on his way to work.

He had noticed the man unconscious with the windows down so he alerted the security guard and police.

Witnesses in the area explained that the man and his car had been using that carpark for about the past week.

People would often see the man waiting in his car for an hour or two in the car using his handphone.

A delivery driver said he parked next to the man for the past three days and he seemed fine when he was waiting in the car on Wednesday.

The Police have classified the death as an unnatural one and are investigating.
