Just saw the news about another lipo death at the hands of our 'qualified' doctors. The picture of the doc also in the news....another botak!! Just like the other doc that did the Siamese twins some years back ...I think Dr Keith Goh if my memory serves me correctly....also another botak.

How come so many of our surgeons are botak....is it a medical operation requirement??

dont want to be recognised for misdeeds/crime; simple as that.

Sigh...I was still thinking of doing liposuction to get rid of my tummy fats.

Bad medicine: Doctors with run-ins with the law

Whether on purpose or accidental, these doctors have found themselves on the wrong side of the law.

The doc: Edward Foo

The beef: Liposuction gone wrong

A 44-year-old mother of two has become the latest victim to die following liposuction. Like the first liposuction death in Singapore which happened less than four years ago (see slide 2), the cosmetic procedure was performed by a general practitioner instead of a plastic surgeon.

The woman was reportedly undergoing liposuction to remove fat from her abdomen and use it to smoothen her thighs at TCS at Central Clinic on 28 June when the oxygen level in her blood suddenly plummeted.

Dr Edward Foo, who had performed the procedure on the woman before, said she sat up and coughed, before collapsing.

Doctors tried to resuscitate her but she never gained consciousness and was pronounced dead at the Singapore General Hospital two hours later.

Police are investigating the unnatural death

Based on history, make sure the doctor or surgeon is not a botak!! The botak Keith Goh also tried to separate the twins but both died. Now this botak also caused an unnecc death!!

If kenna incriminated, can easily disguised as monk in a temple mah...

If they cannot even cure their hairloss, you trust them enough to do other things?

This "Keith Goh" incident is just a propaganda endorsed by Sillypore gahbrament to tell the whole world that we are good in brain surgery.
It back fired even after getting so many consultant to assist in the operation.
He was asked to leave ASAP. I think he ended up leaving Sillypore to teach somewhere.

Apparently, Keith Goh went to India selling false hopes to parents. :D

Botak is to reduce the chances of hair falling into your abdominal cavity during liposuction.

Embolism. Embolism may occur when fat is loosened and enters the blood through blood vessels ruptured (broken) during liposuction. Pieces of fat get trapped in the blood vessels, gather in the lungs, or travel to the brain. The signs of pulmonary emboli (fat clots in the lungs) may be shortness of breath or difficulty breathing. If you have the signs or symptoms of fat emboli after liposuction, it is important for you to seek emergency medical care at once. Fat emboli may cause permanent disability or, in some cases, be fatal.
