SINGAPORE: A former business director of ST Electronics (STE) appeared in court on Monday for the start of his corruption trial.

Mark Edward Tjong, 48, is accused of two counts of corruptly obtaining gratification totalling some S$87,000 from Bangladeshi agent Mujibur Rahman in 2006.

Tjong, a Singapore permanent resident, is accused of getting the money in return for appointing Mr Mujibur to assist STE with a bid for a project involving the Bangladesh Police Department.

When FTsh PR are treated like special species and allowed to believe that they are indispensable in sickapore and will not get deported for committing crimes, you will more of such criminal cases here. Who welcomes such FTsh PR except .... you know who.
