A cyclist rode into Stomper Tan's lane along Jurong Town Hall Road towards Bukit Batok Road on Jan 31, without even slowing down or checking for oncoming traffic.
He also had earphones on and told the Stomper that he did not want to argue with her when confronted, as it was Chinese New Year.
Tan wrote in her email:
"On 31 Jan at around half past nine (viewers, kindly ignore the date and time in the videos as I did not update my car camera's settings), I was traveling along Jurong Town Hall Road towards Bukit Batok Road after the junction of Jurong East Avenue 1.
"This reckless cyclist, who did not even bother to turn his head to check on the main traffic nor did he show an intent to slow down, rode his way out of the filter lane on his electronic bicycle.
"An attempt to let the cyclist know how dangerous his riding was failed as he thought we just wanted to argue with him. He even had the cheek to say it’s our Chinese New Year and that he did not want to argue with us.
"Note the cyclist had an earpiece on both his ears while he was riding on the road."
