Islam started as a liberating force from roman suppression. Even the jews and sklves joined in. Much like spartacus. And that was why, during the initial phase, it was so successful. Its was unhindered by tradition and accepted, studied and applied any knowledge from any known civilisation.
Until the jews unsurped it by turning it into a religion based on jewish myth. That was the end of the beginning. Priest and mullahs emerge. Mosques were built. Holy cities were created.
And scientific knowledge were suppressed.
