Concerts turn park into m&d and slime

ONE main reason my husband and I chose to live at The Sail @ Marina Bay was the wonderful view of fabulous Marina Bay. When we moved in last year, the big park opposite where we lived was being built. Together with our four-year-old son, we waited with bated breath for the park's completion.
When it opened, the park was a wonderful addition to the neighbourhood and for residents with young children. Our son loved whizzing around on his bike, and many families had picnics there.
But just after National Day, many concerts were held in the park, which turned it into a muddy, dirty field. I don't think the grass will grow again after being flattened by huge trucks. Bits of plastic, cigarette butts and wooden boards have also been left on the grass.
How did those responsible leave a centrepiece to our lovely neighbourhood in such a state?

Now that the FT has spoken, I am sure grass will sprout, flowers will bloom and trees will grow.
