[h=2]SAFRA will check but won’t provide any official reply[/h]

Earlier, an ex-Navy Regular going by the nick XNavy Regular commented on TR Emeritus (TRE) that FTs were allowed to wear footwear in the swimming area of SAFRA Club (‘FTs wearing footwear allowed in swimming area of SAFRA Club‘).
He had gone to the new SAFRA at Toa Payoh for a swim. But he realised on reaching there that the pool was closed for repair.
He commented, “No idea why a new pool needs repair less than a month after official opening.”
He then decided to go to SAFRA at Mt Faber instead. The pool was open but he noticed that it was crowded with many “foreign accent English speaking swimmers” there.
XNavy Regular said, “After navigating few laps with these peoples I decided to listen in at the side and begin to notice these other ang mos & kids not swimming but wearing footwear in a (no footwear) area.”
“Yes, I was pissed but I guess the life guard on duty pretend not to notice like some chicken hearted SG. To my surprised, a fellow swimmer decided to walk up to ask the life guard to ask him to enforce. Instead, this life guard said he is just a kid only but clearly there were other ang mos adults inside the yellow line area.”
Later, XNavy Regular, went up to the same lifeguard to get him to enforce the rule again.
XNavy Regular said, “These bunch of ang mos were posing for their end of party photo shots, yes with their footwear again behind the yellow line at the poolside stepping into the pool’s water!”
“My question is why are they allowed to swim or even enter our exclusive club house and think that this is theirs?”
TRE later sent the posting to SAFRA Club management for comment and they have since replied:
In the circumstances, TRE will leave it to readers to draw their own conclusions.

It is indeed surprising that for a simple matter of enforcing the “no footwear” rule around its swimming pools, SAFRA has ‘refused’ to provide a short and sweet reply to a genuine concern. We have noted his concerns and we will look into the matter internally. However, we will not be providing an official reply to your query.
Thank you.
