Man jailed over upskirt video he filmed while waiting in buffet queue

SINGAPORE - A 34-year-old man who blatantly filmed up the skirt of a fellow buffet diner was jailed for two weeks on Wednesday.
Alton Teng Yeow Hong pleaded guilty to insulting the modesty of the 37-year-old woman at the restaurant in Swissotel Merchant Court hotel, along Merchant Road on June 28.
The court heard that around 1.30pm that day, both Teng and his victim were at the hotel restaurant with their families for lunch. Teng came up behind the woman, squatted down and committed the offence as she was taking food from the buffet table. Another diner caught him in the act and confronted him, and alerted security.
Teng told the court he was sorry and had to support a growing family. He could have been jailed for a year and fined.
