prime supermarket could be selling fake coca cola

the bottle is taller than the normal F & N bottle

shop and save is selling the orginal coke for S$1.20 (500ml bottle)

prime is selling it for 90cents (500 or 600 ml)

the taste of the fake coke taste like water been added

and the carbon dioxide inside the drink seem to fizzle out really fast

if you din drink the whole bottle in one gulp

about 3 hours later, it become like regular 'sugar' water

check the bottle, it says made in china

I dont think coca cola company would tolerate such standard

I think they have a international standard
all coke should taste the same no matter where it is made...

I am not kidding when I say this, but send an email to the local CEO and Chairman of F&N, cc their reigonal consumer sales, marketing and production teams and finally the CEO of Coca Cola in the US itself.

You will also be doing your countrymen a service as it will then show you take no shit from unscrupulous retailers who try cut corners (bring in fake products) for larger margins.

I am saying this because I know first hand of a person here who sent a letter to Steve Jobs et. al. complaining of his Lemon iPhone and got a brand new replacement and an apology from the Country Sales Director.

Anyway, so impressed was I with Apple's response, I went on an impulse spend and bought 2 iPhone, 1 full-spec'ed Macbook Air and one AirPort as presents for my buddies kids

Beware too the Trung Nguyen Vietnamese Coffee G7 Instant Coffee. Those manufactured in July 2010 are ok but the new ones after July tastes worse than IndoCafe Instant. I don't know why it is so, as those earlier ones had a nice aroma but the new ones are not frothy nor taste good. I went to Liang Court and bought all the ones produced in July, therefore they are no longer available in Singapore. Once these stocks of mine finished, I will revert back to drinking Philippines Barako brewed as I will be getting some end 2010.

Don't know about instant coffee, but I do know that a majority of what we now consider "good" kopitiam coffee is more than 70% corn and sugar with palm oil or margarine thrown into the roast.

I had a kopi kia friend who regularly roasts his own coffee along his corridor, following the recipe the wholesale roaster gave him.

He even has a "no-frills" roast which is virtually 90% corn, sugar and margarine + instant coffee powder.

And no kopi-tiam uncle will be able to taste the difference unless they've had real 100% coffee bean roasts sometime in their life.

I guess my advice to you would be to give instant coffee a miss, even the process used to extract the flavor from coffee beans to make it "instant" cannot be nicer than spend a couple of minutes brewing it from real beans.

As one who drinks lots of coffee, brewed and instant, I know what good coffee is. Even have drank real Brazilian (not supermarket Boncafe) and even looked at the civet cat from whose droppings came the Luak coffee I was drinking. The G7 I mentioned although instant was pretty good and handy as it is easier to make a cup. Brewed ones I keep in airtight containers and put into the freezer for freshness. It takes a bit more trouble to make and making one cup is not worth it. Brewing more means it will remain on the coffee maker for some time which makes the taste sourish. Sometimes taking breakfast in hotels, the coffee taste like that due to prolong heating, so I avoid that by asking for a freshly brewed one. Starbucks coffee is ok but very pricey whereas Coffee Connoisseur is even more expensive. It is not worth paying good money for such coffee.
