A 54 year old Singaporean woman was found dead in her flat in Tampines today.
The woman, who was Chinese, was found covered in blood in her bedroom.
The police arrived at the scene shortly after 10 and the woman was pronounced dead by paramedics at 10:18.
An 80 year old man has been arrested in relation to the case which has been classified as a murder.
The man is believed to be the woman's father in law.
Investigations are currently ongoing into the case.
