Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Tottenham have agreed to join a breakaway European Super League.
The six Premier League clubs will be joined by AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid. Three more clubs could join for the inaugural season which will commence "as soon as practicable".

Yeah it's always money. I think the current Uefa system is feeding too many middlemen and covid19 has accelerated a crunch on thesr big clubs. Imagine players like Ozil and Bale getting paid 6 figures every week.. how is this sustainable?

It's about money, but especially in a pandemic because the top clubs depend a lot on matchday revenue and the stadiums are empty.

Also, some of the clubs have airline or hotel sponsors. They are doubly fucked.
