Accountant charged with outrage of modesty

AN ACCOUNTANT was charged on Friday with molesting a woman on an MRT train in November 2010.
Samuel Chew Minquan, 26, allegedly grabbed the buttock of a 21-year-old woman in the train at Bukit Batok MRT Station on Nov 29.
His lawyer Irving Choh applied for the case to be adjourned to make representations with a view to withdrawing the charge.
If convicted, Chew faces a jail term of up to two years, fine, caning or with any combination of the punishments.
Chew's case will be mentioned on July 22.
