Technically, the majority of the population supported it. Now some quarters would still be making noise, but I ponder what can be done (from an engineering viewpoint, not propaganda) to alleviate the suffering of the people when 6.9 actually comes in.
Take for example, the need for cars. The roads can only be so wide. Clearly a new form of transportation must be invented and implemented.
