Dr Tan did not give any examples, but said his general approach was to study the past, while looking to the future.

He is just trying to "siam" the hard questions by pretending to be some kind of a wise man, sage or philosopher! If one doesn't confront his own wrongoings, he will never be enlightened or humbled. A leopard never change its spots.
