I feel its worth it to explore this.
It will be a disincentive for management from now onwards, if it was instituted, to ignore issues that workers on the ground bring up.
Since they are in the groove of arresting people, they just may want to consider arresting the SMRT management who failed in their duties to manage the morale of the drivers.
Remember that it takes two to tango.
For a long time management has it easy. Take big salary but fail to do a job, even those that cause public disruption, get away scott free.
Its time to amend the law. Just like the recently revamped industrial safety laws that were updated to blame employees, even after years of punishing the management does not work; industrial action laws should be changed to reflect and punish management failures that cause strikes.
