A frightening experience too

I just returned from a frightening experience too.

I was doing my early morning swim at East Coast beach. Unfortunately my clothes got washed away by the sea, including my handphone. All that was left was my empty bag and my house keys. I swim in a thin swimming trunks because I am a bit hairy somewhere... being from a cold country, I keep the trunks thin to ensure cool jewel temperatures.

I saw a woman jogging past, and thought I could borrow her mobile phone. She looked like she understood Mandarin and looked rather liberal.

I exclaimed in heavy accented mandarin: "Xiao Jie, ning hao ma?" and moved towards her to give a friendly embrace, my six pack showing and pecs humbly popping out.

I was shocked when she shouted: "Ni pu yao luan lai! Kan ni lau bu!" and managed a quick acceleration as her assets were small. As my jewels were heavy, I had slower acceleration. I had no choice but to go and collect my belongings from the beach. It was frightening that such a thing can happen in SG.

Why are people so unfriendly these days?

Moral of the Story: One has to be fit and quick to express friendliness. Courtesy is our way of life.

Lessons Learnt: (1) SG should become more embracing, and not discriminate against people in wet trunks. (2) One should have a flotation device added to the mobile phone.
