Today ordered a solid meepok at Bras Basah Comlpex, sat down in the corner where the TV is

As I was about to eat, an old man begged for some money, said he hasn't eaten for two days

He looked very weak

I thought about how fat I am and felt guilty

So I decided to starve one meal and offered my food to him

My god, he ate the full in less than two minutes he was realy hungry

I gave him another $5 and left

Better that way, although I feel a bit gastric pain now I feel happy

Better to help an old man then to waste money of some lying two-faced conwoman prostitute

But but but....there are no beggars in sinkapore.

i am just an ordinary guy

i just hope i dont get pain in my balls

There're many less fortunate people lived in poverty around us. Open our eyes and you can see many of them. However, they never appear pitiful, nor kpkb to ask for helps. Instead, they just endure the hardship and never beg from other people.

Our elites and successful smart citizens sure know profoundly about them. Helping them is like plugging a hair from a bull. (chinese proverb - nine bulls one hair) Yet I do not see any.

Very happy that bro has offered to help the guy. I know how you feel as I have also helped some of them. I just hate myself that I am not resourceful and powerful to offer adequate helps.

You are a kind person and Sammyboy.Com members should be proud of you.

But lky said that there are no poor people in Singapore. KNNCCB Fuck LKY!

What you did was noble but you could have just ordered another plate for yourself. Whatever stopped you from doing that?

I admire what you did and I have sympathy for the hungry man, but I'm afraid that I cannot agree with your actions.
Tomorrow, he will simply ask someone else for his next meal. He may be lucky if he finds someone as kind as you, or he may not.
This may sound harsh, but you should have asked him:
"Did you vote for the pap?"
Answer is yes, ask him to approach one of the ministers for help.
Answer is no, help him and tell him to continue doing so and ask all his friends to do the same.
Answer is "Who cares about voting or elections?", tell him to care more and perhaps he will receive more help.
This is the only way to break the vicious cycle and help really needy Singaporeans.

Matthew 6
Giving to the Needy
1"Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

2"So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 3But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
