81 suspected drug offenders nabbed in 4-day islandwide crackdown

SINGAPORE - 81 drug offenders were arrested in a four-day operation that wrapped up this morning (Jan 15), the Central Narcortic Bureau (CNB) said in a media statement.
About 38g of 'Ice', 26g of heroin, 35 Erimin-5 tablets, 27 'Ecstasy' tablets and 5g of cannabis were seized, said the police.
Areas covered in the operation include Balestier, Bishan, Boon Lay, Bukit Batok, Clementi, Serangoon, Toa Payoh and Woodlands.
On Jan 12, CNB officers arrested a 28-year-old male suspect for drug trafficking and a 30-year-old male for suspected drug abuser in Serangoon North. Both are Singaporeans.
From the raid, officers recovered a total of 28 Erimin-5 tablets and about 7g of 'Ice', packed in many small packets.
Investigations on all the suspects are ongoing.
