Internet giant CEO Scott Thompson recently resigned from CEO's position after it was found that he gaive inaccurate information in
his official biography. However, Thompson is not the first tech CXO to have fudged his CV, there are more. Here's a look at some
other executives whose academic credentials were called into question.

computer science college degree on his biography.

Yahoo acknowledged last week that Thompson does not have a computer science degree despite what was stated in his official company
biography and in regulatory filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Yahoo ended Thompson's four-month stint as its CEO without giving him a severance package. The struggling internet company disclosed
in a regulatory filing that it isn't paying Thompson anything.

about having a master's degree in business administration from Stanford University. "I regret this misstatement of my educational
background," Lonchar said in a statement sent by the company.

relinquishing his chief executive's duties while retaining his chairmanship after the company reports its results next year. This is after he
admitted that his company had for years falsely described him as a Stanford University graduate when he'd dropped out before finishing his
course during a March 23, 2001 press briefing.

in 1999 to have falsified his military record.

Apparently, he was a lieutenant, and not a captain as claimed. Papows is also believed to have faked his educational credentials. He
reportedly did not have a PhD from Pepperdine University as claimed in his CV. Papows eventually resigned from Lotus Corp.

annual salary of $14 million in 2008. Tang led Microsoft China and later Shanda Interactive Entertainment. In July of 2010, however, Tang was accused
of falsely claiming to have a PhD from the California Institute of Technology.

He also claimed to have attended both Caltech and Nagoya University in Japan in his CV. Tang admitted that he actually received his degree from Pacific
Western University.

He claimed to have earned degrees in theology and psychology from Pacific Coast College in California, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Brigham Young University. Peterson had earlier denied that he had misrepresented his degrees, following a Bloomberg News report. He was censured and fined,
but remained with the company as chief executive.
