A 7.5-magnitude earthquake has hit off the coast of Sumatra, Indonesia, and a local tsunami watch has been issued, monitoring agencies said Monday.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake struck about 240 kilometres from Padang, Sumatra, at about 10:42 a.m. ET.

The quake occurred at a depth of about 14.2 kilometres, the USGS said in a statement.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or fatalities.

Another omen or punihsment for the Indons. For polluting the air over Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore and not only shirking responsibilities but also blaming others, the God is watching and listening. This isn't a transnational problem anymore.
