6 men arrested in gambling raid

SINGAPORE - The police have arrested six men for promoting and gaming in public in Penjuru Place.
The men, aged between 25 and 49, were arrested at about 9.45pm in the midst of a game of chance, where three dice are used.
All gambling paraphernalia and cash amounting to $142 were seized by the police.
If found guilty of gaming in public they can be jailed up to six months and/or fined up to $5,000.
If found guilty of promoting gaming in public they can be fined between $2,000 and $20,000 and jailed up to five years.
