I came across an advertisement on above seminar conducted by a Mr.Oei with a MBA, apparently with 52 playing cards , he can teach one to find his destiny .

Wonder if anyone in this forum has attended his lectures which is usually held on regularly on wednesday nights at the Golden Landmark hotel ( now known as Village hotel ) . Is paying $48 worth attending?

Thank you for providing field report.

Of course not. Check the dictionary for the meaning of the word charlatan. I don't understand how the government could allow all these charlatans to operate. They arrest people for selling magic stones. But, they allow people to sell reading cards as long as they share their ill-gotten profits by paying rents to seminar halls and file tax returns.

What is the difference, with one 'old leaf' doing almost the same thing, but not with 52 cards or I call him a charlatan?, to a younger generation.:p

Not necessarily just the deck of cards, anybody professing to tell future or fortune with anything is a charlatan.

Just be careful not to get conned...;)
