Some of their sons are dLiving Fellaris, Lam.ginis, Lorsche....

Pre-election gimmick.

laksaboy will agree with me on this point: after the next GE, there'll be increases in tax or GST so that LEEgime can claw back whatever they've given out to daft Sinkies.

If this is not vote buying, I don't know what is.

Beware of the give 10 cents take back $1 modus operandi of the PAP. Imminent hefty FARE increases of the MRT/SBS would soon follow shortly. "ROB Peter to pay Paul" tactics.

Didn't the PAP once said that old people (Pioneer Generation) who are NOT working should only be given 1 vote but young working people contributing to the economy be given 2 votes? This was to prevent the old (PAUL) applying pressure on the PAP govt to give them MORE goodies at the expense of young tax payers (PETER). Hence the 'rob Peter to pay Paul'

LEE KUAN YEW: "we should consider giving those between the ages of 35 and 60, married and with families, one extra vote."

Abridged from "Hotel California" lyrics by The Eagles .
"Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
"Relax, " said the night man,
"We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave! "

Hotel California is one of the coolest songs ever written! Love that song. The lyrics, the tune, the guitar solo. Poetry - backed up with music. What a fabulous piece of work! The song was released the year I sat for my O levels, and I still crank up the stereo when this song is played on the radio.

Funny, I only recently learned that the song was about some mental institute!

Cheers!

Not too late to know....when I first heard it & knew what it meant....the beauty is in writing of the lyrics, for you can look at it from any angle, it comes out different , Like Bob Dylan's " Mr. Tambourine Man, in which or Ministry Of Culture once banned:

"And take me disappearing through the smoke rings of my mind
Down the foggy ruins of time
Far past the frozen leaves
The haunted frightened trees
Out to the windy bench
Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow
Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky
With one hand waving free
Silhouetted by the sea
Circled by the circus sands
With all memory of fate
Driven deep beneath the waves
Let me forget about today until tomorrow

Our Chinese educated Ministry of Culture, can't interpret the beauty of the English Language...."it must be a drug fuelled feeling"...ha ha ha

I have a feeling the transportation fee going to increase again ;)

Some kind of sick jokes to torture the old folks by asking them to stand in long queues?

Heard its a one day thing

John Key is no different. Everything he gave in tax breaks when he was first elected has now been reclaimed a few times over via stealth in other areas.

Politicians are the same the world over.

Probably hoping a few of them will die from exhaustion and relieve the government of the burden.

My favorite live version...

Don't like this version at all...

How many have gone there in the pouring rain?, fall, had a stroke & died? & stay in Q, find out it isn't today, have a heart attack, or stroke died??

SINGAPORE - A message making the rounds in WhatsApp about senior citizens being eligible for a $50 public transport voucher if they go to an SMRT office today is inaccurate.

A check with the Ministry of Health today revealed that although there is such an SG50 Seniors offer for senior citizens, the redemption period starts only on Monday, Jun 15, and eligible seniors will have received a redemption letter by that date.

The message being circulated on WhatsApp said to "inform anyone above the age of 60years old (sic) that today if they go to any of the SMRT Offices, they can top up $50 for free, its a SG50 promotion" (sic).
