5 days’ jail for woman who shoved 8-year-old girl against wall after child bumped into her

A 44-year-old woman Ho Hui Ling, was sentenced to 5 days’ jail for shoved an 8-year-old against a wall, causing pain to the victim’s head and shoulder. Ho and the girl were walking along the platform at Buona Vista MRT station at around 9 am on 16 Jan 2025, when the child bumped slightly into her. Displeased that the girl had made contact with her on a crowded platform, that woman shoved the child.
