Police have arrested a 42 year old Chinese man for touching himself in public in Punggol.

The incident happened in the morning at about 7:20am on Monday at Blk 174C Edgefield Plains.

A resident who had just dropped her son off at the nearby school saw the man talking on the phone with one hand and touching himself with the other.

According to Wanbao, the man would continue despite others passing by and he would even touch himself more vigorously when people passed by.

The woman who spotted him, Ms Zhang, immediately called the police then took photos and videos of the man while tailing him until police arrived.

He was eventually arrested by police at a playground.
