One of the world's most expensive private yachts has docked at Marina at Keppel Bay near HarbourFront.
The 120m long yacht, which cost US$300 million (S$377 million) to build, is believed to have been here since at least last Friday.
The vessel has a striking design and looks like a submarine warship. Keppel Corp, which manages Marina at Keppel Bay, said the yacht is the most costly private vessel to dock at the marina this year.
my paper understands that the vessel's owner, Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko, is in the country for personal reasons. Little is known about the intensely private billionaire's visit here.
Reports say that Mr Melnichenko, 39, made his fortune by starting a chain of currency- exchange booths. He then founded one of Russia's largest banks, MDM Bank, in 1993 and went on to invest in a variety of coal, chemical and steel companies to cement his wealth.
