Peter Lynch started off as a fund manager using other people's money. So, there is nothing wrong with her to start off by using other people's money first. Warren Buffet got his investment money by buying over small but cash rich companies and channelled their excess cash for his own investing purposes. All these years, TH has been doing very well. The only complaints people have against TH and GIC is that they are not giving enough dividends back to the people (read Roy's bitching) rather than them losing our money.

Retirement money is meant for retirement use. Retirement age is no longer 55, so why should sinkies take out all their CPFs at 55?

In the past, people withdrew their CPFs at 55 and died by 65. Now, most sinkies are living till 75-80. If you clean out your own CPF by 55, you would be needing handouts for the next 15 years till you drop dead at 80, assuming you use up your CPF by 65.

I propose allowing sinkies to only withdraw their CPFs in monthly payouts from 70 years old. That way, they would have enough money to last them till about early 80s, when most of them kick the bucket.
