AirAsia’s website registered a phenomenal 300 million hits in the first 11 hours of its latest free seats campaign.
Over 300,000 seats were snapped up in less than 24 hours.
Demand vastly exceeded expectations partly because of the airline’s entry into new markets such as Australia, Britain, India, China and the Middle East.
But what makes the free seats offer really hot is that there is also no fuel surcharge and administration fees.
AirAsia is also offering free hotel rooms on goholiday.airasia.com.
There are still 700,000 free seats available up to Sunday.
The travel period for the free seats is May 1 to Oct 30, 2010.
