A system fault that affected Changi Airport’s Terminal 2 baggage sorting system caused the delay of 30 outbound flights on Thursday morning.

Most of the flights were delayed by less than an hour, although some flights were held up to for as long as 90 minutes, according to Channel NewsAsia (CNA)

The affected flights were scheduled to leave between 6am and 8.30am, added CNA.

A spokesperson from the Changi Airport Group said that the terminal had arranged for additional manpower to sort out the baggage manually when the incident occurred.

The fault has since been rectified and normal operations have resumed.

The clockwork efficiency of the country, our pride and joy, appears to be cracking up. Soon we will hear of many more breakdowns.

It appears that Singapore may need to emply more andmore FT's to resolve the problems with our automation. Manual labour works better, never breaks down and cheaper some more. We should get more FT's to do our NS since we already have Gurkhas to protect our beloved leaders. Why not take more Gurkhas to defend our beloved island?

good idea bro...the only thing is FTs are too smart to wanna do NS.

Most of them are self serving and just wanna take what they can from here. The moment things turn sour they will vanish.

They couldnt care a damn about sinkiepoor.
