Three doctors were charged on Wednesday with practising without having valid practising certificates.

They are also accused of trying to get practising certificates by knowingly making a false declaration in writing to the Singapore Medical Council (SMC).

Gladys Wong Mei Ling, 47, is alleged to have practised at Healthpoint Family Clinic and Surgery at Tanglin Halt Road between Jan 3 and 31, and she had written to the SMC that she was not involved in any active clinical practice since Jan 1.

Roy Chio Han Sin, 39, also faces two similar charges. He allegedly practised at Dr Chio Aesthetic and Laser Centre and at Famicare Bedok Clinic in Bedok South Avenue 3 between Nov 1, 2011 and Feb 17, 2012. The alleged false declaration was made on Feb 7.
