21 nabbed in Geylang crackdown

SINGAPORE: Twenty-one people were arrested in Geylang for various offences during an enforcement operation that ended early Saturday morning.
Led by Bedok Police Division, the operation involved officers from the Singapore Police Force, Ministry of Manpower, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority, Health Sciences Authority and Singapore Customs.
The eight men and 13 women arrested are aged between 16 and 40 years.
They were arrested for various offences like drug offences, immigration offences and possession of contraband cigarettes.
Investigations against the suspects are ongoing.
