This is Bernadette Giam, the new free rider that is replacing Marcus Loh as PAP branch chairperson in Sengkang GRC.

She was briefly in the civil service before joining the family business as a “director”.

If you just read the article, it is her sister that is making most of the talking while she just gave some comments about family dynamics, which do not add value about “running”a business (per the headlines)

As someone who comes from a very rich family, would she be able to speak up for Singaporeans on the concerns they face such as inflation and costs of living?
Would you trust somebody who has no real world credentials when you have a much better alternative WP team including Prof Jamus?
