<!-- by line --> <!-- end by line -->JOHOR BARU - TWO Singaporeans high on the Republic's police wanted list were arrested in four locations here and in Seri Alam on Tuesday. They were among 12 members of an international drug syndicate busted in a joint operation by police from Johor, Federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman and the Singapore Central Narcotics Board. The syndicate had been active trafficking drugs in Johor Baru and Singapore, reported The New Straits Times. Johor police chief Datuk Mokhtar Shariff said police seized 339.4g of a substance believed to be syabu, 36 Eramin 5 pills and 64g of ketamine during the 13-hour operation, which began at 5 am. He said the current market value of the seizure was estimated at RM100,000 (S$41,100). Police also seized six cars and various currencies, two laptops and five handphones. Mr Mokhtar added that one of the local syndicate members had two previous convictions for a drug-related offence and possession of weapons at a riot. All of them are being remanded until Feb 1.
