2 serial snatch thieves arrested in Hougang

They were believed to have been snatching mobile phones from the unwary in Hougang for the past six months, but the law has have caught up with them.
In a statement released on Friday, the police arrested two 22-year-old men who were believed to be involved in a series of snatch thefts, which started since September last year.
Their targets were students on the way from school, and the suspects would tail them before snatching their mobile phones away. The duo stole at least five mobile phones amounting to $3000.

- Try to stay composed
- Take note of the descriptions of the perpetrator
- Remember where the perpetrator ran off to and the means of escape used
- Call the police as soon as it is safe to do so
Officers from the Ang Mo Kio Police Division launched an intensive search to identify the suspects following the first report.
