SEREMBAN - The body of a 40-year-old woman, with strangle marks on her neck and swelling on her head, was dumped along a secluded road in Kampung Pasir in Linsum, near here.

A police spokesman said Ruzina Ja'afar, a mother of six, might have been murdered elsewhere. A passer-by found her body at about 8am yesterday.

Ruzina, who runs an eatery at Simpang Pertang in Jelebu, had closed her shop at 2am and had gone to her house to drop off one of her children.

According to her brother Mohd Rafi Ja'afar, 42, she left without saying a word.

"She drove out alone. When she failed to return home several hours later, my brother-in-law lodged a missing person's report at the Simpang Pertang police station," he said.

Ruzina, who was clad in a dark blouse and jeans, was described as a "friendly person".

"We are all shocked as we never expected this to happen," Mohd Rafi said.
