19-year-old teen arrested for laptop theft

SINGAPORE - Police have apprehended a 19-year-old boy for his suspected involvement in a case of laptop theft in the area of Prince George's Park.
On Dec 17 at around 5.10am, a 22-year-old woman reported that her laptop, valued at around $1,800, has been stolen from her hostel room.
Police and campus security officers responded to her report and mounted an operation.
On the same day, they managed to trace the suspect and arrested him in the vicinity of Prince George's Park at about 7.30pm.
They found a laptop in his possession and took it away as case exhibit.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is believed to be involved in another case of break-in in Nov 2012.
He will be charged in court on Dec 18.
If convicted, he may face a jail term of up to 14 years.
