14-year-old teen arrested for outrage of modesty in Pasir Ris

The police have arrested a 14-year-old male believed to be involved in a case of outrage of modesty in Pasir Ris.

On Dec 23, the suspect molested a female victim in the lift of a Housing Board block in the Pasir Ris housing estate and fled.

The victim then reported the case to to the police.

Officers from Bedok Police Division conducted intensive investigations, and managed to establish the identity of the 14-year-old suspect.

The police arrested the suspect at about 6pm on the evening of Dec 29 at Pasir Ris Street 21.

The police said its preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect committed the offence after accessing pornographic material on the Internet.

Police arrest teenager molest suspect

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy who is believed to have molested a woman in Pasir Ris housing estate.

The teenager allegedly committed the offence on 23 December.

After intensive ground work, the police arrested the suspect on Thursday in Pasir Ris Street 21.

Preliminary investigations showed that the suspect committed the offence after surfing porn sites on the Internet.

The police advise parents to exercise supervision over their children's Internet use, and consider subscribing to optional Family Access Networks or filtering services provided by Internet service providers.
