124 suspects arrested in police raids

SINGAPORE - 124 suspects have been arrested for suspected involvement in illegal employment, gambling offences and vice-activities, police said in a press statement.
The four-day operation took place between March 17 and March 20 at various locations in Tanjong Pagar, Beach Road, Little India, Kampong Bahru, Chinatown, Jalan Besar and Serangoon. These places were found to have breached licensing rules such as overcrowding and unlicensed massage services.
During the crackdown, police also raided a common gambling house in Serangoon Road where they seized 15 computers, a CCTV system and cash amounting to $1,075.
